Yogis guide to: Los Angeles

Yogis guide to: Los Angeles

You might be surprised to know that Los Angeles is a yogi’s paradise. There are more yoga studios in the neighborhoods of Santa Monica and Venice Beach than any other place on Earth and that means all the other things we love, like green juice and organic pedicures are also saturating the area. This list could be extensive but I’ve boiled it down to the cream of the crop for you.

How to yogafy your schedule

How to yogafy your schedule

The truth of the matter is, we don't live in the mountains/forest/cave; we happen to live in the world. We want to participate in the whole game of having a job/family/social life/eating good food etc AND we want to incorporate yoga and stillness into the mix. This is the modern yogis balancing act.

This is your guide to the alchemy of making your schedule sacred.

5 things to consider when packing for India

5 things to consider when packing for India

It’s no secret that I have an intense love affair going on with India and anyone that will sit and talk to me about the craziness, the sacredness the synchronicities, the ridiculousness and near death experiences that come with any pilgrimage to the Motherland of Yoga. Now I'm on my fifth journey to study in India, the place that calls you to really practice your yoga in a big way. I'm often asked for advice about travelling to this mysterious and sometimes intimidating land so here are a few things that you might like to pack to make the roller-coaster ride a little smoother.

Light on Northbridge | Flora & Fauna

Light on Northbridge | Flora & Fauna

I had an instant affinity to this teeny boutique cafe from when they first opened last winter. Like, Alchemy, they are in a tiny space, tucked away and simply keen to share what they love with our budding community. And, boy, can you feel the love, Flora & Fauna is all heart, headed up by the gorgeous Allison and Abel, it's clear they adore creating beautiful food, and are smitten with the locals that frequent their sunny shop.

Talalla Retreat | That's a wrap

Talalla Retreat | That's a wrap

One week on the southern coast of Sri Lanka changed our lives for the good. Once a mind has been stretched by a new experience it can never go back to it's old dimensions. Minds, bodies and hearts expanded at our Talalla Yoga retreat and we certainly emerged replenished, deeply connected and radiant. Huge gratitude to the 27 amazing souls that co-created this experience.
