We warmly welcome you to join us for a New Year immersion to bask in the joy of summer! We will seek to balance excess inner heat with mindful yogic practices including movement, pranayama and moonlit meditation. Drawing inspiration from yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda, we will learn self-massage and the art of Sankalpa, setting intentions for the year ahead. To help us be as clear as possible for the year ahead we'll also be practicing some Satkarma which are deeply cleansing techniques for the body and the mind.
At this time of year, we experience maximum solar energy and celebration; it’s an exciting time and also potentially depleting. It’s important that we take time to cool the body and soothe the mind, an opportunity to mark this potent time and set the tone for 2015. In summer we also have greatest ease of motion; we will enjoy full, fluid yoga asana, guided by Stuart Watkins and Amanda Noga. Mat Hatch and Cam Watkins will take our practice to another realm with rhythmic percussion and sweet flute and guitar music.
Being the height of summer, we have a reduced digestive fire, as agni is pulled to our extremities and away from the belly, this is THE perfect time to embrace light, fresh liquid diet! This weekend retreat will be a cold-pressed, organic juice feast catered by the experts at The Juicist.
